Asa Anderson is a journalism student at Salem State University. Anderson was born in Salem, and has lived in the area his entire life. Listening to music has always been a part of Anderson’s life, and he listens to all genres, but loves experimental and left-field artists. Learning about and finding new music is always a highlight for Anderson, and he hopes to share the joy he gets when he finds something he really enjoys.

Christopher Monson is a junior at Salem State University studying Communications with minors in Marketing and English.
He was featured in the podcast “Sounds of Salem” for his work 
documenting changes in fashion throughout history. 
Christopher will focus on pop music and its subgenres, such as indie pop and dream pop. 

Katie Coffey is a junior at Salem State University studying Media and Communications with a minor in Music Technology. She is the Program Director and a DJ for 91.7 WMWM Salem. Her interests include music, art and traveling. Her writing will discuss music acts from around the globe bringing them into a local context.

Rob Beatty is a junior at Salem State University, studying Media and Communications with minors in Music Technology and Philosophy. He is the Music Director and a DJ for 91.7FM WMWM Salem. His interests include music, reading and food. His writing will specifically focus on local and up-and-coming music in the greater Boston area and the culture causing, because of and surrounding it.

Mia Buscone is a Media and Communication student at Salem State University with a minor in Music Technology. She co-hosts a weekly radio show on SSU’s campus radio station, 91.7 WMWM Salem. Her favorite types of music are psychedelic and indie, and her radio show focuses on these genres as well as some experimental and punk music. Her writing will be mostly based around modern psychedelic music and she hopes that through her writing she will continue to expand her knowledge of the alternative music scene.
