Hard work has been put in by Khanh Aiden Nguyễn and Thanh Nu Mai over the past few weeks and because of this, word has spread through Dorchester. Beginning today, April 26th, the Vănguard Retrospective Exhibition is now open to the public at Dorchester Art Project.

At the beginning of this year, psychedelic band Wand announced that they would be releasing an album this month. I wrote a review of their first single when it came out and was hopeful that the change in sound would be the start of a new and exciting era for the band. They released three more singles before the whole album, and still made their way into our 12 Albums Coming Out This Year that we are Excited For list.

In recent years, we have seen pop music transform from the upbeat, bubblegum vibes of the early 2000s to a pop music that has been heavily influenced by rap music. Rap has slowly but surely becoming the more popular genre of music, so although pop music is short for popular music, the idea and sound of pop music is what cemented itself into the music mainstream.
